3.0 PROCEDURE
3.1 OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Each business unit or department must develop and implement an effective EHS management program that addresses safety, accident prevention, fire/life safety, ergonomics, and disaster preparedness measures for employees assigned to their department and/or business unit. This includes an Emergency Action Plan specific to each FOX location.
Departments are responsible for ensuring that significant environmental aspects and health and safety risks are considered when setting their operational objectives and targets. Operations should strive to reduce risk to employees and the Company when making operational decisions and assigning employee work tasks.
3.2 EMPLOYEE TRAINING
All employees will be provided with new employee safety orientation training. The EHS Department will collaborate with executive and department leadership on conducting training needs assessments and developing appropriate training resources for FOX personnel.
3.3 OPERATIONAL ASSESSMENTS
Periodic assessments should be established at the business unit or department level to ensure deficiencies are identified and an effective EHS program remains in place. The EHS Department is responsible for supporting, monitoring, and assessing the management and control of the EHS program. This system of EHS management and compliance assessments and other monitoring activities permit evaluation of the quality of the EHS program, identifying what needs to be improved and how best to target resources.
The EHS Department will assist in these processes, but it will remain the responsibility of supervisors and managers to identify and comply with applicable program elements.
3.4 EHS ASSESSMENTS
The FOX EHS Department has developed audits and inspections to ensure that the EHS Management Program has been properly implemented and maintained. Through site visits, these assessments are coordinated by the EHS Department and conducted regularly with results provided to management.
3.5 COMMUNICATION
FOX has established a process for identifying, accessing, and communicating legal and other requirements that are applicable to all FOX operations. A communications plan is in place to ensure that EHS information is appropriately communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
