The FOX Corporation Environmental, Health and Safety Department will conduct or facilitate periodic audits of Fox workplaces.
1.0 SCOPE
The FOX Corporation (FOX) Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department will conduct or facilitate audits of Fox work activities and workplaces.
2.0 Definitions
Minor:
Non-serious violations that can usually be corrected on-the-spot and present no potential for a serious incident/injury.
Imminent Danger:
An impending or threatening incident, which if left uncorrected, is likely to result in serious injury/property damage.
Repeat:
Occurring more than once; may be minor or serious.
Serious:
Violations that present a moderate to high potential for serious injury or incident.
Stop Work Order:
A directive to immediately cease work, issued for failure to follow established procedures, the presence of an imminent danger situation, etc.
Violation:
A condition or activity that is in conflict with the procedures, standards, and the requirements of safety and health standards.
3.0 Responsibilities
In addition to required EHS Program responsibilities discussed in EHS001, EHS Policy, the responsibilities described below are necessary to ensure the
effectiveness of the procedure.
3.1 Division Heads
Division Heads will:
- Ensure Department Heads support and participate in the inspection and corrective action process.
- Ensure that adequate funds are allocated at the division or department-level to ensure effective inspection and corrective actions.
3.2 Department Heads
Department Heads will participate in applicable workplace inspection process and ensure prompt implementation of recommended corrective actions that are
identified through the EHS inspection process.
3.3 Employees
Employees will assist in the implementation of corrective actions as directed by their supervisors.
3.4 Environmental, Health and Safety Department
The EHS Department will conduct periodic audits of Fox workplaces to evaluate EHS compliance.
4.0 Procedure
The EHS Department will conduct or facilitate the performance of EHS audits of Fox workplaces. Selection of workplaces will be based on regulatory
compliance needs, work activities performed, as deemed necessary by the EHS Department, and at the request of management. Preference will be given where
previous inspections, incidents (see EHS 102, Incident Reporting and Investigation) or reported violations have indicated the potential for
increased hazards or violations to be present. Multi-shift operations will be inspected at different times to ensure compliance on all shifts.
1. If any Imminent Danger or Serious condition is observed a Stop Work order will be issued immediately, and work will be halted until corrective action
can be taken (see EHS 005, Stop Work Authority).
2. Observed violations will be designated as minor, repeat, serious, or imminent danger.
