FOX Corporation requires housekeeping on its work locations be maintained to prevent injury or illness, and that all personnel observe acceptable
housekeeping, hygiene and sanitation in the workplace.
1.0 SCOPE
This Procedure applies to all FOX Corporation workplaces and work activities.
2.0 Responsibilities
In addition to required Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program responsibilities discussed in EHS 001,
EHS Policy, the responsibilities described below are necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the procedure.
2.1 Department Heads
Department Heads will ensure that all personnel are trained in proper housekeeping and hygiene procedures.
2.2 Employees
All Fox employees will:
1. Observe the established housekeeping, hygiene, and sanitation requirements for their workplace
2. Refrain from eating or drinking except in authorized locations.
2.3 Environmental, Health and Safety Department
The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Department will publish, periodically review, and revise this Procedure.
3.0 Procedure
3.1 Smoking
Smoking, vaping, the use of e-cigarettes or similar tobacco alternatives is permitted only in designated outdoor areas and not closer than 25 feet from any
building entrance, overhang, window, tent, Featherlite, or trailer.
3.2 Eating and Drinking
- Eating and drinking are permitted only in designated areas that are free of potential hazards, which could be exacerbated when performing these
actions. - Personnel actively involved in the performance of activities that involve the handling or use of chemical products, are not permitted to eat, drink, or
use smokeless tobacco, except during breaks. - Personnel must always wash hands and face after completing work activities and prior to eating or drinking.
3.3 Water
- Potable water will be available for personnel near their work areas.
- Where drinking fountains are not available, individual-use cups will be provided, as well as adequate disposal containers.
- Potable water containers will be properly identified in order to distinguish them from non-potable water sources.
- Non-potable water may not be used for drinking, hand washing, or personal cleaning activities.
- All containers/supplies of non-potable water sources will be properly identified/labeled as such.
3.4 Toilet Facilities
Toilet facilities will be available at all work locations.
3.5 Sanitation
3.5.1 General Work Areas
Work areas must be kept free of dirt and debris that might impact the safety of personnel or visitors.
All trash receptacles will be routinely emptied.
3.5.2 Break Areas and Lunchrooms
Fox personnel must observe the following requirements when using break areas and lunchrooms:
1. All food and drink items must be properly stored when not in use.
2. Food items will not be stored in personal lockers or lunch containers for extended periods, in order to prevent the potential for vermin infestation.
3. All waste food containers must be discarded in trash receptacles.
4. All tables, chairs, counters, sinks, and similar surfaces must be kept clean and free of dirt, waste food, and food containers at all times.
5. Refrigerators used to store food items must be emptied of all unclaimed food items weekly.
6. Routine cleaning of refrigerators must also be performed on a regular basis.
